Alma was born in March of 1932 in Bristol, Vt., the daughter of Cloise and Dorothy Dittmer Murray. She attended school in Bristol, eventually married, and moved to the state of Maine. OTSELIC – Lewis Wesley Tallett Sr., of Otselic, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 24, 2008 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich, with his family at his side.
Mr. Tallett celebrated his 100th birthday at a party given by his family in October. He was a life long resident of the area, having been born in Smyrna on Oct. 12, 1908 to George Dudley and Eva Claire Coleman Tallett. NORWICH – Irene M. Cornell of Norwich, passed away on Oct. 27, 2008 at the age of 94.
Irene was born in February 1914, the daughter of Ross E. Cornell and Lena D. Cornell. She is survived by her beloved family: two nieces, Kay Cornell Fletcher and husband Donald of Lancaster, Pa. and Donna Cornell Hogan and husband James of Norwich. NEW BERLIN – Gilmore J. Dravland Jr., 71, of New Berlin, passed away on Nov. 2, 2008.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1936 in Duluth, Minnesota the son of Gilmore & Beatrice (Dahlen) Dravland. He married Marie Ludington in Cooperstown on March 21, 1964.
Gilmore leaves two children, Paulette and James. Paulette is married to Steve Gage and they have three boys, Christopher, Brett and Eric. James is married to Donna Squires and they live in Rossville, Georgia.

NORWICH – Jeannette L. Thompson, 80, of Chenango Avenue, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008 at Mary Imogene Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown.
Born Dec. 5, 1927 in New Bedford, Mass., Jeannette was the daughter of Ralph and Helen (Vera) Ladner. Moving to Norwich in 1945, she worked at Montgomery Ward where she was head cashier. She then worked for Dr. Richard Foster until her retirement.
