NORWICH – Mary Pepe, 79, of Norwich, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 in Little Falls.
Mary was born Nov. 26, 1928 in New York City, the daughter of Antonio & Anna (Marino) Buffa. She spent her childhood in the New York City area. She married Nicholas Pepe in November of 1946; he predeceased her on Nov. 18, 1998
Mary is survived by a daughter, Anne Tabony of Bay Shore, Long Island; a son, Michael Pepe of Norwich; grandchildren Dawn Marie Hayes, Michael Anthony Casey and Briana Nicole Pepe; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She wa predeceased by one son, Anthony Pepe, on Aug. 15, 1982.
Mary was employed as a machinist for Gasser & Sons of Long Island.
Interment will be in the St. John of God Cemetery, Central Islip, Long Isalnd.
The family would like to thank Van Allen Nursing Home for the special care they gave to Mrs. Pepe in her time of need, especially her nurse Debbie and social worker, Vannessa.
