NORWICH – Frances S. Weigel, 88, of Honey Brook, Pa., formerly of Norwich, died on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008 at the Meadows Health Care Center at the Tel Hai Retirement Community, following the effects of Alzheimer’s disease.
She was born in Norwich on Jan 16, 1920. She was the daughter of the late George R. & Ruth (VanEtten) Stellwalgen. She was the wife of the late Bernard L. Weigel.
Prior to retirement, she was a secretary with Norwich Pharmaceutical, today known as Rohm and Haas Co.
Frances was preceded in death by a baby son, Jon Weigel, a daughter, Janet Carlin and five brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald E. Weigel of Honey Brook, Pa. and James Weigel of Maine. There are two grandsons, Shawn and Scott Weigel both of Allentown, Pa. and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, from the chapel of the Tel Hai Retirement Community; 3100 Tel Hai Circle, Honey Brook, Pa., with Pastor Tim Herr officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. on Monday at the chapel.
