NORWICH – Charles E. Meade, 80, a longtime resident of Willow Grove, Pa., passed away after a long illness on Nov. 9, 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jean Meade (McNulty); his children Pamela Vollum (Jeffrey), Jeffrey P. Meade (Diane), Michael Meade (Kathleen), and Charles “Mac” Meade (Maureen); his grandchildren Jamie Vollum, Jenna Vollum, Sarah Meade, Andrew Meade, Shane Meade, Chelsea Meade, Maggie Meade, Erin Meade and Bridget Meade; his brother Kenneth Meade (Sirry), and Joseph Meade (Nancy); his sisters Catherine Wehrl (Albert) and Marjorie “Midge” Meade; and his 29 nieces and nephews.
Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He worked for the Norwich Pharmaceutical Co., retired as a U.S. Postal Carrier in 1991, and worked part-time at Prudential Life Insurance in Horsham.
Relatives and friends called Wednesday at the John J. Bryers Funeral Home, 406 N. Eaton Road, Willow Grove, Pa. 19090. A Funeral Mass followed at the St. David RC Church, 316 N. Easton Road, Willow Grove. Interment will be at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
