NORWICH – Alan J. Popkin, 50, of County Route 33, Norwich, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 8, 2010 at his home.
He was born on April 15, 1960 in Sharon, Conn., the son of the late Samuel Popkin and Luella Frair Popkin.
He is survived by his mother, Luella Popkin of Oxford; his sisters and brothers in law, Diane and Allen Flax of Silver Springs, Fla., and Elaine and John Gilli of Oxford. Seven nephews and one niece, and several cousins also survive.

Born in McDonough in April of 1938, Lydia was the daughter of Clarence and Nellie (Watts) King. She spent her early years in McDonough and the surrounding area and eventually moved to Sidney.
