Frederick Hall


OXFORD – Frederick Alanson Hall, 73, of Pinehurst, N.C. and formerly of Oxford, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 at his residence. 
A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 5 at 3 p.m. at Pinehurst Methodist Church with the Rev. David Banks officiating. 
Mr. Hall was born Oct. 7, 1937 to Dorothy Agnes Corey and Bertram Alfred Hall in Pulaski. He received his B.A. from Cortland State University and his M.A. from Oneonta State University. 
He spent his career in education in New York State as a teacher, principal and school superintendent from 1960 until he retired in 1992.  After retiring to Pinehurst with his wife, he had a successful real estate career until his second retirement in September of 2010. He was devoted to his family, his church and will be remembered as a mentor and friend to many.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nan; son Todd Hall and wife Marie of Oxford; daughter Andrea Ridge and husband Robert of Orangevale, Calif.; brother David Hall of Pulaski; sisters Lena Brosnan of Mexico, NY and Sue Lewis of Pulaski; granddaughters Desirae Ridge and Madison Ridge.
