Virginia Stith


OTSELIC – Virginia I. Stith, 83, of Lakeland, Fla. and formerly of the Otselic area, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, in Florida.
Mrs. Stith was born on Dec. 19, 1926, a daughter of the late Horace and Emily Baker. She made her home in both Florida and New York for several years.
She is survived by her children, Donald (Doris) Stith, Josephine (Wayne) Winner, June (Gary) Rounds, Sue (Irv) Raymond, Diana (Bud) Chapman, Richard (Annette) Stith, Rodney (Rachael) Stith, Ruby (Lewie) Manwarren, and Linda (Mark) Thorp. She also leaves behind 31 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; two brothers, William Baker and Butch Baker, and a sister, Kathy Thompson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Isadore Stith, in 2000, an infant set of twins, two daughters, Vickie Thornton and Brenda Hernandez, and a brother, Bob Baker.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11a.m. at the Pitcher Federated Church with Reverend Brenda McCutcheon officiating.  Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, South Otselic. 
Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Stith may be directed to Hospice of Chenango County, 21 Hayes Street, Norwich, NY 13815.
