AFTON – Vera C. White, formerly of Afton, died on Nov. 12, 2010 at the Loudoun Nursing Home in Leesburg, Virginia, surrounded by family. She was 97 years old. Born in Sanford, she lived her entire life in central New York State.
Mrs. White, wife of deceased Fay White, is survived by her four daughters from her first marriage to Albert Schoenfeld: June Schoenfeld, Barbara and Duane Buman, Alice Schoenfeld and Vera (Connie) and Fred Spoor. She leaves four grandchildren, Mark Spoor and his wife; Ann, Jeff Spoor; Steven Buman and his wife, Sue; and Andrew Buman. She also leaves five great grandchildren: Hallie, Tori and John Spoor and Kyrsten and Brandon Buman.
Vera White loved people, loved life and loved the Lord. May she rest in peace.
A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street Sidney, NY 13838.
