NORWICH – Russell C. Irons, 59, of 4145 N. Broad Street, Norwich, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 in Chenango Memorial Hospital Norwich.
Russell was born on Sept. 5, 1951 in Utica the son of Russell J. and Lois Hayes Irons. Before becoming disabled Russell was a GM Master Mechanic Gold Wrench winner.
Surviving is his mother Lois Irons of Oneida, his wife Patricia Sheridan Irons; two sons: Russell C. (Adrienne) Irons Jr. of Hillcrest, Stephen (Scherry) Irons of Laplata, Md.; two daughters: Megan Irons of Huntsville, Texas, Tiffeny Irons of Vernon Center; eight grandchildren; one sister: Dawn (Steve) Collins of Wampsville; three brothers: Wayne Irons of Orlando, Fla., William (Olga) Irons of Bainbridge, Cliff (Terry) Irons of Houston, Texas. He was predeceased by his father in 1999 and his sister Marilyn Vivirito in 2008.
Graveside services will be held in the spring of 2011 in Afton Glenwood Cemetery, Afton. There will be no calling hours.
