Lawrence Hine


NORWICH – Lawrence Merton Hine, 66, of Tuftonboro, N.H., died Nov. 16, 2010 at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H.
He was born in Norwich on Aug. 20, 1944 son of Lawrence and Ruth (Hine) Breslin. He served his country in the United States Navy and was a Deputy with the Chenango County Sheriff’s Dept before going on to Palmer College, School of Chiropractic in Iowa.
After graduation through 1985 he spent his days in Wolfeboro with his family building his chiropractic practice. In 1985 he moved to South Carolina along with his family returning to New Hampshire in 2002.  Living in Tuftonboro, he worked as the property manager for the Koziol Family in downtown Wolfeboro.
He was a past Master of the Morning Star Masonic Lodge in Wolfeboro, N.H.
Survivors include his companion Gail Gordon of Tuftonboro; his mother Ruth (Hine) Breslin of Norwich; three sons Michael (Arlene) Hine of Greenville, S.C., Christian Hine of Fort Mill, SC, Daniel (Erin) Hine of Camp Pendelton, Calif.; and their mother, Marian Hine of Ft. Mill, S.C; a  stepson Michael (Dawn) Gordon of Bellingham, Mass.; a stepdaughter Tracey (Jim) Kenn of Whitman, Mass.; a brother Mark (Deborah ) Hine of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a sister Elaine (Larry ) Boise of South New Berlin; two step grandchildren Daniel Kenn and Samantha Kenn. He was predeceased by his father Larry Hine, his step-father Howard Breslin and his sister, Vada Stithem.
After a memorial service on Dec. 4 at Calvary Baptist Church, burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Berlin. A celebration of his life will be held at Club 59 (Kingswood Golf Club) on Friday, Nov. 26 from 5-7 p.m. in Wolfeboro, N.H.
