NORWICH – Evelyn B. Kosowsky, 89, of Norwich died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 in the Pearl and Everett Gilmour Health Care Facility where she has resided for the last three years.
She was born on August 28, 1919 in Cambridge, NY to Forrest and Edna (Welling) Brownell. On Sept. 19, 1943 she married Nicholas Kosowsky who died on Feb. 25, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Vera Hogan of Colorado.

He was born on Sept. 8, 1949 in New Berlin, the son of Charles A. Sr. and Mary Herring Penner. Charles had been a resident of Chenango County his entire life. SOUTH PLYMOUTH – David L. “Tubbs” Mort, 86, of South Plymouth, passed away early Tuesday morning, Jan. 27, 2009, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
The son of Cradock and Emma Ruth Lowery Mort, Dave was born in April of 1922 in Lily, Pa. He grew up in the Niagara Falls area, where he attended school and held jobs in several local factories before spending 20 years in the employ of the Schrack Oil Company, where he delivered oil and coal. NORWICH – Anna L. Kelly, 80, former Norwich resident, passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 1, 2009 in the Wilson Hospital of Johnson City.
The daughter of Charles and Margaret McClintock Switzer, Anna was born in November of 1928 in Norwich. She grew up in Norwich and was a 1946 graduate of Norwich High School. OXFORD – Velma L. Diamond, 53, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 30, 2009 at her home.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1956 in Norwich, the daughter of the late Charles and Mable (White) Monday.
