Pauline Lombardi


NORWICH – Pauline L. Lombardi of the United Methodist Home, of Norwich, died Monday evening, Feb. 9 , 2009, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
She was born on June 25, 1920, in Oneida, and graduated from Oneida High School in 1939. She attended college and was employed as a nurse’s aid, dental assistant; and laboratory technician. She spent most of her life in Oneida until moving to Guilford in 1999.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Wampsville and the Bible Believers Fellowship in Guilford. She enjoyed her family, gardening, farm animals, bowling, pets, reading, sewing, letter writing, and bike riding, especially down Hubbard Hill in Oneida. She was a great encouragement to all and was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
Surviving are her children Anne Falsey of Newark, Texas and Philip Lombardi of Guilford;  Grand Children: Angela Brogden, Donald Falsey Jr., Gail Shepperd, Michael Falsey (from Texas) and Karie Lee Visser of Brisben. Great-grandchildren: Kit Brogden, Brittany Johns, Tiffany Falsey, Samantha Shepperd (of Texas) and Cherish, Hope, and Serena Visser (Brisben). She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Laura Havener Staudt; brothers Richard and Stewart; and sister Adelade and grandson Phillip “PJ” Lombardi II.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 13, at the Coolican -McSweeney Funeral Home, 322 Washington Ave, Oneida. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Mark Holden officiating. Interment will be in the spring.
