NORWICH – Helen E. Carey, 79, of Park Street in Norwich, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2009.
Born April 27, 1929 in Torrington, Conn., Helen was the daughter of Peter and Helen (Kupka) Czerna. The love of her life was Reuben Myron Rosseter, who pre-deceased her.
Helen is survived by her daughter Helen and her husband Bruce Giacoma of Florida; her son Jim and his wife Deb Shimer of Norwich; and her grand son Christopher Fuller, Brandon Shimer, Tyler Shimer, Christy and Robert Cestone; and her great grandchildren Marisa, Anna and Christopher Cestone.
Helen will be remembered as a ‘mother to all’.  Besides her family, she enjoyed Bingo and Life.
A memorial service for Helen will be held at the Behe Funeral Home in Oxford at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Rev. Allen Lang, pastor of the United Church of Christ in Oxford will officiate. There will be no calling hours.
