Lynn Wilcox


SHERBURNE – Lynn Wilcox, 90, of Sherburne, passed away early Sunday morning, Feb. 22, 2009, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
One of the five children of George and Maude Haskell Wilcox, Lynn was born in Oxford in July of 1918. Growing up in several different areas, he attended school wherever he was living at the time. He was a farmer all of his life, but was also an employee of Whitaker Trucking for 54 years, where he drove trucks that hauled milk and cheese. Lynn retired from Whitaker in 1982. He was a member of the local Teamsters Union.
Lynn is survived by his children: Judy Weeks of Philadelphia, Ted Wilcox of Sherburne, and Lynn Wilcox and wife Dawn of Unadilla; his grandchildren: Bruce Bramer, Alicia and Salina Wilcox, Megan Wright, and Jessica Wilcox; and by 16 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Roberta, as well as his sister and three brothers.
Graveside services will be held in the spring, from the Valley View Cemetery of South Otselic. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home.
