SHERBURNE – Charles A. Penner Jr., 59, of Sherburne, passed away Feb. 21, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
He was born on Sept. 8, 1949 in New Berlin, the son of Charles A. Sr. and Mary Herring Penner. Charles had been a resident of Chenango County his entire life. He was a farmer his entire life and loved his John Deere tractors. Charles spent as much time as he could with his family and his most prized possessions were his dogs, Bubbles, Lucky and DeEGGO.
Surviving are his wife Pam of Sherburne; his children Elizabeth Penner of Norwich, Vicki and Bruce Bozeat of Jordan, Jon Penner Alicea and his wife Stacie Fulmer of Skaneateles; five sisters: Nancy and her husband Richard Davis of Albany, Dorothy Edwards of West Winfield, Alberta Strain of South Plymouth, Eva and her husband Mark Pickens of Hartwick, and Sandi Mumbulo of North Carolina; two brothers, Lauren Penner and his wife Shirley of West Virginia and Thomas Penner of Florida. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Brandi and Brittani Bozeat and several nieces and nephews.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, a brother Nick Penner, and a sister, Jennie Hughes.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home of Norwich, with Rev. Paul Hills, pastor of the Christian Baptist Church of Sherburne, officiating.
Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m.
