Joanne D. Stillman of Hilton Head, SC died May 3, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA with her family at her side.
She was born in Utica, NY on July 1, 1933, the daughter of the late Henry Turner Dorrance and Rose Holfelder Dorrance.
Joanne graduated from New Hartford Central School, New Hartford, NY in 1951, Wellesley College in 1955 and Syracuse University in 1963 with a Masters in Elementary Education. Throughout her career as a teacher, she was loved and respected by her many students.

A funeral service for Naomi Dempsey was held on Wed., April 30, at noon from the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Ralph A. Bove, Pastor of St. Paul’s and St. Bartholomew’s Roman Catholic Churchs officiated. Interment followed in St. Paul’s Cemetery with Rev. Bove offering the committal prayers.
Pall bearers were Steven Dempsey, Gary Cate, Dennis Swartout, Tim Swartout, Walt Slentz and Dan Slentz.

Richard F. Wright “Dick” passed away peacefully at St. Peters Hospice Inn in Albany on April 29, 2014, at the age of 81. He was born in Burlington Flats on August 30, 1932 to his parents, Charles F. Wright and Ella G. Loomis and began his career in the USAF in 1942, retiring as a Major in 1971. He served tours of duty in Labrador, Africa, Taiwan, Texas, South Carolina, Hawaii and Illinois.
