Gladys M. Armstrong, 91, of East Hill Rd., passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Community Memorial Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Hamilton.
She was born April 14, 1923 in Georgetown, a daughter of Herbert and Bertha Huntley Foster and received her education in local schools. She married Warren Chapin who predeceased her. She married Raymond I. Armstrong on July 19, 1983 in South Plymouth. He predeceased her on May 19, 2000. Gladys worked for the Gladding Corporation in South Otselic until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Georgetown Baptist Church.
Surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her sisters, Catherine Werner, Lillian Foster, Marion Cursh, Alice Berg and Liza Johnson; and her brothers, Floyd, Lloyd, Herbert, Arlo, Charles and Rexford Foster.
Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday, May 31, 2014 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne, followed by interment in the Hillside Cemetery, Georgetown.
