CELIA C. WHITE
SMYRNA – Celia Catherine White, 55, of Hopkins-Crandall Rd., passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at her home.
She was born May 7, 1959 in New Berlin, a daughter of Franklin and Barbara A. Follett Jaquay. She received her education in local schools and then took courses in food service through Adult Education. On November 3, 1979, Celia married Leslie L. White in Smyrna. She was a homemaker who truly enjoyed caring for her family and supporting her children’s activities. She was a volunteer with the Sports Boosters and the Marching Band, and was a “second mom” to all the kids.
Surviving are her husband, Leslie; her mother, Barbara Wassel of Smyrna; her children, Thomas Edward Miller, Jr. of Norwich; Jamie Miller Squires of Sherburne; Linn and Cheryl White of West Edmeston; Victoria and Patrick Pegg of Morris; sisters and brothers, Deborah Lint of Connellsville PA; Carlton and Alexis Jaquay of North Norwich; Glenn and Karen Jaquay of Cassville; Heidi and James Moore of Smyrna; Michael, Jr. and Kristen Wassel of Lower Macungie, PA; six grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and –nephews. She was predeceased by her father Franklin Jaquay; step-father Michael J. Wassel; step-brother, Michael V. Wassel; niece, Valarie Jaquay; nephews, John Moore, Sylvanis Moore; James Moore and Carlton Perry.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends may call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
