DONALD H. PERRY
OTSELIC – Donald H. Perry, 86, of Otselic, passed away at Chenango Memorial Hospital, May 20, 2014.
He was born to Harold and Agnes Perry in Otselic December 18, 1927. Donald graduated from South Otselic Central School. He married Betty Parkhurst of Georgetown on June 7, 1952.
He was a dairy farmer with his brother Wesley all his life. He enjoyed turkey hunting, watching baseball games, and playing trumpet and harmonica with family and friends.
Donald was predeceased by his brothers Wesley, Wilfred, and Walter. He is survived by his wife Betty, son Donald L. (Louise) of Otselic, daughter Donna Halbert (Clay Ellis) of Vestal; grandchildren Adam Perry, Rachel Perry, Jessica (Eric) Bowerman, and DJ Perry; great-grandchildren Evan and Emily Bowerman and Jordan Perry; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Otselic, with Jeanne Angell officiating. Arrangements are being made by Smith Funeral Home, DeRuyter, NY.
