JULIA ANDERSON
Julia E. “Judy” Anderson, 87, passed away peacefully at Bridgewater Center in Binghamton, NY on May18, 2014. She was born on July 7, 1926 in Johnson City NY. Julia was predeceased by her husband Robert A. Anderson, parents Thelma and Peter P. Zayac Sr. and her brother Dr. Peter P. Zayac Jr. She is survived by her children Cathleen J. Brown, Peter Z. Anderson (Faye), Lori M. DeAngelo and Margaret Proskine as well as grandchildren Erica Klein (Shawn), Scott Miller (Carrie), Stephanie Jenkins (James), Sarah Anderson, Lindsay Anderson Fales (Robert), Katherine Freeman, Jacqueline Freeman, James Freeman and Emily Proskine and her great grandchildren Jalen Jenkins, Jacob Jenkins, Cade Klein, Lily Klein, Kale Miller, Maxx Miller, Jorga Miller and Anderson Fales. Julia is also survived by her brother Thomas Zayac (Carol) and sister in law Joan Zayac as well as many nieces and nephews.
Julia graduated from Johnson City High School and Binghamton General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse in Binghamton as well as Norwich, NY. Julia lived in Norwich for many years where she raised her children. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening, and was an active member of Canasawacta Country Club. Julia enjoyed many wonderful years in Sarasota and Sun City Florida with her husband Robert. She loved to golf and play cards with many special friends. Julia also enjoyed walks to the dog park in Sun City with her loyal companion “Josie”.
Julia’s family would like to give a special thank you to the wonderful nurses and caregivers at Bridgewater Center in Binghamton.
Julia’s family will receive friends on Thursday May 29, 2014 from 4 – 6 pm. at the Wilson Funeral Home, South Broad Street, Norwich, NY.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions offered to the American Cancer Society.
