JOHN E. BUNDY
SHERBURNE – John E. Bundy, 59, of Bryant Rd., went to rest at his home on Sunday, May 4, 2014, following a brief battle with cancer.
He was born December 18, 1954 in New Berlin, a son of Adrian and Dorothy Kennedy Bundy, and was a graduate of Morris High School. John worked at Mid York Press until he became ill. He was a die-hard fisherman who always said “fishing season is open 365 days a year and I’d hate like hell to miss one.” He was a member of the Oneida Lake Association.
He is survived by his life partner, Lynn Alsheimer; two sons, Thomas of Bainbridge and Nathan of Oneonta; three step-sons, Timothy and Violet Alsheimer, Carl and De Anna Alsheimer, and Anthony “Butch” Alsheimer, all of Florida; a step-daughter, Jennifer and Manuel Rapaso of Cassville, NY; two brothers, William and Donna Bundy of Walton; James and Marilyn Bundy of Ohio; two nieces, a nephew, and three step-grandchildren Christian, Marcus and Miranda. John also leaves many friends and fishing buddies, and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 5pm on Thursday, May 8 2014 from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Interment will be private.
