SOUTH NEW BERLIN – Carl J. Burk Sr., 67, of South New Berlin, passed away in his home suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.
Carl was an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was an active member of the South New Berlin Fire Department, serving as Fire Chief for many years. He was employed at the Butternuts Cemetery Association in Gilbertsville, as a groundskeeper for over the last 20 years.

ONEIDA – Marie A. Nardi, 62, of N. Warner St., formerly of Hamilton, passed away Nov. 27, 2012 at her home as the result of a cardiac episode.
She was born April 18, 1950 in Springfield, VT, a daughter of Wilfred W. and Frances Phelps Faulks. She was a graduate of Fox Lane High School in Mt. Kisco, and then Kirkland College in 1972. She had also attended Colgate University in Hamilton. On Feb. 24, 1974, Marie married Robert W. Nardi in Lebanon. He predeceased her on Aug. 10, 2001.
