NORWICH – Kandy A. Blair, 49, of Norwich, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, in the Wilson Regional Medical Center of Johnson City.
Kandy was born on March 2, 1963 in Hamilton, the daughter of Alfred P. and Lillian Tefft Shaver. She spent the early years of her life in Norwich and when she was in her mid teens moved to Texas, where she would make her home for the next 25 years. While making her home in Texas, she was employed by Liberty County where she worked as a secretary in the permit dept. In 2002, Kandy moved back to Norwich where she continued to make her home. She worked as the assistant manager for the Dollar General store in Sherburne and CWS in Norwich.
Kandy is survived by her husband David Blair of Norwich; her daughter Leah Hohn of Cleveland, Texas; her mother Lillian Hurlburt of Sherburne; her sisters Katrina Shaver, Kristina Shaver and Jacqueline Carliston all of Texas; her brothers Jacob Shaver of Texas, Lloyd Shaver of South Plymouth, Bob Shaver of Maine and Adam Shaver of Utica. Also surviving are her grandchildren Dallas Holder and Dakota Latz, both of Texas, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Kandy’s life was held on Saturday, Dec. 1, from the home of her brother, Lloyd Shaver.
