NORWICH – William Zahner Jr., 83, passed away June 27, 2008 at the New York State Veterans Home at Oxford.
Bill was born in Brooklyn on July 20, 1924, the son of the late William Zahner Sr. and Zelma Tillotson Zahner. He graduated from Jamaica High School, Jamaica, Long Island, in 1942. After completing one year at Ohio State University, Bill served his country during World War II, until his discharge in 1946. He then returned to Ohio State, graduating in 1950.
