Charles Cutting


ROCKDALE – Charles W. Cutting, 77, of Rockdale, passed away Monday afternoon, June 16, 2008 at the Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. 
Charlie was born on Dec. 15, 1930, son of the late Leland and Annabell (Carley) Cutting in Masonville. Charlie served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1950. On July 15, 1950, Charlie married Joyce Eggleston in Norwich. She predeceased him on April 19, 2008. Charlie was a self-employed truck driver. He was a very hard worker, buying and restoring trucks to immaculate condition. Charlie drove up until 2006 when his health declined and he was forced to retire. Charlie was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #277 Sidney.    
Charlie is survived by three devoted daughters and sons-in-law: Bonnie and Gary Somerville of Chittenango; Nancy and Joseph Liberatore of Cicero; Charlene and Gary Milks of Pompey; four grandchildren and spouses: Kimberly and Darrin Thomas, Kristen and Jeffrey Hosner, Charles and Tiffany Munford, Joshua Munford and fiancée Stephanie Bowman; one great-grandchild, Braeden Hosner. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters, and predeceased by siblings as well.
Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main Street Sidney.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow in Masonville Cemetery. 
Memorial contributions in Charlie’s name may be made to the Delaware Valley Humane Society 101 East Main Street Sidney NY 13838 or to the Mt. Upton Emergency Squad.
