Esther Marvin


NORWICH – Esther Guiles Marvin, 87, formerly of Norwich and recently of Florida, passed away on March 17, 2008, in Seminole, Fla.
Esther and her husband, the late Neil Marvin, were married in Preston in 1936. They made their home in the Norwich area until 1993 when they relocated to Florida. Neil predeceased Esther in 2001 after almost 65 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her eldest daughter, Nancy Smith.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Loretta “Lori” Bartlett and husband Jerry of Madeira Beach, Fla.; by her grandchildren: Kim Webb Costello and Jason Webb, both of St. Petersburg, Fla., Linda Banks of Lubbock, Texas, Lisa Pugh of Wolfort, Texas, and John Smith, Richard Smith and Lorris smith, all of Lubbock, Texas; and by 10 great-grandchildren in Lubbock, 3 in St. Petersburg, and 1 in Warwick, R.I. She is also survived by 4 great-great-grandchildren in Lubbock.
Memorial services for Esther will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Anderson, pastor of the Plymouth United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the South Plymouth Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the service at 10 a.m.
