NORWICH – Hobert A. Jackson, “Hobe,” 87, a longtime Norwich resident, passed away Tuesday morning, July 5, 2011 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Hobe was born in North Pharsalia in October of 1923, the son of Elmer and Myrtle Hicks Jackson. He attended the South Otselic High School and graduated with the class of 1942. Following his education Hobe entered the United States Air Force serving his country during World War II. He served as a Tech. Sgt. in the 8th Army Air Force - 493rd Heavy Bomb Group. NORWICH – Hobert A. Jackson, “Hobe,” 87, a longtime Norwich resident, passed away Tuesday morning, July 5, 2011 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services for Hobe will be held at 1 p.m. Monday from the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home. The Rev. Jeff Hale, pastor of the Broad Street United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment with full military rites will follow in the Deer Pond Cemetery of North Pharsalia.
Friends may call at the R.J. Fahy Funeral Home on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m.

NORWICH – Hattie Mae Morgan, 87, former Norwich resident, passed away at the home of her daughter on Tuesday morning, July 5, 2011 in Mt. Upton.
Funeral services for Hattie will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Norwich. Committal services for Hattie will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. from the Sylvan Lawn Cemetery in Greene.
Friends may call at the Kingdom Hall on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11.

NORWICH – Merl A. Cox, 68, of Norwich, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at the University Hospital/Upstate Medical Center of Syracuse.
Born in Cortland in October of 1942, Merl was the son of Elmer and Florence Marvin Cox. He attended school in several communities, including Cortland, Rome, and Norwich, and worked as a farm hand in Herkimer and Mohawk before taking employment with the Art Scheer farm in Norwich. PARIS, Ark. – Teresa Jean ManWarren Black, 75, of Paris, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011 at her home.
Teresa was born on March 20, 1936 to the late Howard and Verna (Harris) ManWarren. Teresa was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Paris.

Born in Trumansburg, Theresa was the daughter of Harry and Catherine O’Connell. Theresa graduated from Nazareth College in 1951 with a degree in Art Education.
