NORWICH – Memorial services for Roberta “Bobbie” Carson were held Tuesday at the United Church of Christ First Congregational. Rev. Joseph Connolly, pastor, officiated. Sons Bill and Tim Carson as well as grandson, David Carson, spoke in remembrance. The pianist for the service was Susan Ticknor and the soloist was Mary Mayo.

OXFORD – William H. “Bill” Golden, Sr., 66, long-time Oxford resident, passed away Monday afternoon, March 31, 2008, at his home, with his family at his side.
Born in Norwich on October 1, 1941, Bill was the son of Sherwood and Floretta (Burdick) Golden. He grew up in Oxford, where he excelled in sports. OXFORD – Catharine (Kay) Mortensen formerly of Painter Hill Road in Oxford passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Valley View Manor in Norwich.
She was born on February 25, 1909 at the family’s home in Pine Grove, (just outside of Woodstock).
