The 122nd Assembly District seat is currently filled by Cliff Crouch who will be retiring at the end of his term. Couch has stated on several occasions that he endorses Angelino to take over the position.

“Joe Angelino has my support because he’s honest and ethical. He served our community as a police officer and police chief, and served our nation as a U.S. Marine. After being wounded in battle on two separate occasions, he earned the Purple Heart Medal, among many other accolades. That’s the kind of person who is fit to serve in the Assembly,” said Crouch.

Angelino is also backed by NYS Senator Fred Akshar who said, “Without question, Sgt. Major Joe Angelino is the proven leader we need in Albany fighting for our communities back home. Joe has spent a lifetime serving his country and his community, earning two purple hearts as he served with the U.S. Marines and Marine Reserves in Desert Storm and the Iraq War. When he returned home, he continued to serve, this time as a law enforcement officer for over thirty years and as both the Norwich Police Chief and Fire Chief.”

In regards to the November Election, Angelino said,"As we head toward the General Election in November, I will continue working as hard as I can to speak with every voter in the District to learn their concerns and to share my ideas for getting New York State back on track."
