NORWICH – A Pitcher man pleaded guilty to criminal contempt for the fourth time on Monday, after driving to a victim's house, parking outside the house, and watching it.

Zane A. Marvin Jr., 36, of Pitcher pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal contempt, a class E felony, after he said he wanted to take the plea deal just to get out of jail.

According to Chenango County Court Judge Frank Revoir Jr., this is Marvin's fourth conviction for repeat violations of the same order of protection since its creation in April.

Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride expressed some concerns on behalf of the victim, who said they were terrified of what is going to happen to them upon Marvin's release.

Following the plea, the victim in this case, the defendant's former partner, spoke in court on how methamphetamine changed her husband and her fear that he would return.

"I've been with Zane for 19 years, he was an amazing father, and an amazing husband," she said.

She said everything changed when he became addicted to meth, and her family is petrified about what he will do when he gets out.
