CHENANGO COUNTY — The City of Norwich Youth Bureau is offering free summer trips to Chenango County youth, including trips to Wonderworks, The Wild Animal Park, Rail Explorers, and the Ross Park Zoo.

The trips are open to children aged five to 21, and children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Attendance is free for kids and adults attending with kids under the age of 16, thanks to grant sponsorship from the RC Smith Foundation. The trips are also sponsored by the City of Norwich Youth Bureau and Rita's Tavern.

"Any kid that signs up for the trip is free," said City of Norwich Youth Bureau Director Anthony Testani. "Right now I’m not charging for parents if they come with a child under 16. If I’m going to require somebody to be there, I really can’t make you pay for that."
