Greene Central High School announces Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Superintendent’s Award recipients Audrey Renae Aileen Johnson, Valedictorian of Greene CS Class of 2026, Summer Ann Dean, Salutatorian of Greene CS Class of 2026 , Lyndsay Diane Specht Superintendent’s Award recipient for the class of 2026

GREENE - Greene Central High School proudly announces its Valedictorian, Salutatorian and Superintendent’s Award recipients for the graduating Class of 2026. It is with immense pleasure that the high school recognizes Audrey Renae Aileen Johnson as its Valedictorian, Summer Ann Dean as its Salutatorian and Lyndsay Diane Specht as its Superintendent’s Award recipient for the 2026 senior class.

Audrey Renae Aileen Johnson

Audrey Renae Aileen Johnson, daughter of Leah and Geoffrey Johnson, is the valedictorian of the Class of 2026. Through her time at Greene Audrey has participated in numerous clubs and activities. For the past four years she has been in Select Choir, Marching Band, Academic Challenge, Student Council, and Footlights. The next year she joined Interact, Envirothon, Mock Trial, Jazz Band, and Honor Society. She has managed much of the student accounts’ coffers in her position as treasurer for band, Footlights, Envirothon, and Student Council. In the fall, she plans to attend St Lawrence University to major in environmental studies with a minor in political science.  

Summer Ann Dean

Summer Ann Dean, daughter of Megan Dean, is the salutatorian of the Class of 2026. Summer has been involved in many different extracurricular activities during her time at Greene. She has been a part of Footlights for the past seven years and has worked in the costume room making props for Middle School shows. She has been a part of the Envirothon team for the past three years and is currently the vice president. She is also an active member of Interact Club, Student Council and Select Chorus. In the past she has been a member of the softball team and the Odyssey of the Mind team. Summer plans to attend St. Lawrence University in the fall to major in biochemistry.

Lyndsay Diane Specht

Lyndsay Diane Specht, daughter of Beth and Nicholas Specht, is the Superintendent’s Award recipient for the class of 2026. Lyndsay has been involved in several activities during her time at GCS. She has been a part of the varsity soccer team for four years where she was captain, and a part of the varsity softball and flag football teams for two years. Lyndsay has been an active member of Student Council, Interact, Envirothon, and Odyssey of the Mind over the years. She currently serves as the Student Council treasurer, class treasurer, and Interact president. In the fall, Lyndsay will be attending SUNY Geneseo and majoring in either special or childhood education.

Congratulations to Audrey, Summer and Lyndsay. We salute your achievements.

Graduation ceremonies will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the high school.
