BOYS BASKETBALL: Norwich’s Comeback Falls Short In Loss To Delhi

DELHI – The Norwich Purple Tornado boys basketball team traveled to Delhi on Wednesday to kick off the 2022 season. Norwich fell short 52-45 while attempting a second half comeback.

Norwich struggled in the first half that put them down 29-13 at halftime. While they stepped it up in the second half, they could not stop Delhi from continuing to play strong.

The Purple Tornado were led by Steven Dowdall with 18 points, including five three-pointers, with four off his 12 point fourth quarter. Behind him was Wyatt Thornton who finished with 11 points.

Norwich (0-1) will host Chenango Valley on Saturday at 1:45 p.m.
