FIELD HOCKEY: Greene Defeats Spencer-Van Etten

SPENCER – On Tuesday, the Greene Trojans field hockey team shutout Spencer-Van Etten 4-0 in the final regular season game.

Prior to the game, Greene had defeated Spencer-Van Etten 6-1 at the beginning of the season.

This time around, Nadia Brown, Emma Rice, and Claire Flanagan led Greene to the shutout win. Brown scored two goals while Rice and Flanagan each scored one. Flanagan, along with Dakota LeBlanc, both picked up an assist.

Greene put up 23 shots on goal in the game, where Kaitelyn Klyn saved 19 of those.

Greene’s Natalie Scofield and Tatiana Wells split time in net where Wells only faced two shots on goal and saved them both.

As The Trojans conclude the regular season, they finish 11-4 with losses from Whitney Point and Vestal. They are currently awaiting any sectionals games ahead after a strong ending to the 2022 season.
