Marauders fall to hot-shooting Mount Markham

Mount Markham 79, Sherburne-Earlville 51

SHERBURNE - Mount Markham came out firing from the outset hitting from long range throughout the game in a win over Sherburne-Earlville on Wednesday.

The Mustangs made 10 three balls - five in each half - and separated themselves from the Marauders in the second quarter taking a 38-25 lead into halftime.

Will Lunny had a game-high 23 points for Mount Markham, 14 of those coming in the first half.

Preston Eaves had a trio of 3s for Sherburne-Earlville (5-7), and finished with a season-best 21 points.

Delhi 59, Unadilla Valley 39

DELHI -Four players contributed at least two baskets in the opening quarter, and that balanced scored carried Delhi to a win over visiting Unadilla Valley on Tuesday night.

Owen Haight led the Bulldogs with two 3s in the first quarter, and he led his team with 13 points. Luke Schnabel scored 11, and Luke Sanford added 10 points.

Trason Murray canned seven 3s for Unadilla Valley totaling a season-high 23 points in the Storm's loss.
