NEW BERLIN – The Village of New Berlin is hosting a private groundbreaking ceremony for the new firehouse and Chobani Community Center on Tuesday, October 20.

The event is not open to the public due to state COVID restrictions, but the new building is for the public and the New Berlin community.

The project was first announced in 2019 and is supported by a mix of corporate donations from local employers as well as support from the State of New York, collectively providing nearly $1 million to help fund the construction effort. The structure will replace the existing firehouse nearby that was built in 1971.
