EDMESTON— The Bainbridge-Guilford/Afton/Harpursville, Norwich, and Unadilla Valley cross country teams traveled to Edmeston to compete in the Meghan Sorbera Invitational on Tuesday at Pathfinder Village. The BGAH varsity boys took first for the second consecutive meet with the lowest score of 29 points. Norwich, as a full boys team this season, finished fourth. The BGAH girls finished second behind Edmeston/Morris.

BGAH:

Boys:

The BGAH boys won their second straight meet with Owen Degan leading the pack with the fastest time of 13:33. Sean Fowler and Ethan Beardslee followed one another in fourth and fifth place. Rowan Beasinger came in seventh with a time of 15:48.

My’Kel George and Mason Lans finished 12th and 13th respectively with Teagan O’Connor in 21st and Andrew Menard in 22nd.

Zion Lucchese ran to a 23rd place finish, along with Sidney with a tie of a time of 18:56.50.

Connor Rowe tied with Edmeston/Morris with a 24th place finish with a time of 19:19.50.

Caleb Robertson and Brennan Andres finished 26th and 27th with teammate Johannes Willumson in 30th and Peter Blance in 38th out of a total of 40 male runners.

Girls:

The BGAH girls finished second behind Edmeston/Morris with 51 points. Lelaenia Baldwin led the Bears girls with a top five finish with a time of 18:00.20 with Jalyn Winans behind her in sixth place with a time of 18:02.90.

Macey LaFever came in 11th place with a time of 18:44.20 as teammate Gabby Gross finished 14th with a time of 19:31.70 with Ruth Wilson behind her in 15th.

Gabby Forker rounded out the BGAH girls with a 20th place finish with a time of 31:44 out of a total of 20 female runners.

NHS:

Nic Sutton led Norwich with a third place finish behind both BGAH’s Degan and UV’s Favinger with a time of 14:00.30. Teammate Richard Hatton came in 17th place with a time of 16:39.60 with Maddox Wolford in 20th with a time of 18:02.10. Ethan Tang ran to a 35th place finish with Adrien Browne in 37th.

Malea Sutton finished 17th in the girls race with a time of 20:05.90.

UV:

Boys:

Jake Favinger took second behind BGAH’s Degan with a time of 13:37.

Aidan James earned a top 10 finish in ninth place with a time of 15:54.70.

Girls:

Miley Slater led the Storm girls with a fourth place finish with a time of 17:59.80 as Margaret Kemnah and Kathleen Pizzuto made the top 10. Kemnah came in seventh with a time of 18:04.9 with Pizzuto behind her in eighth with a time of 18:12.10.
