Haunted Storefronts fill the windows on historic Earville block (Earlville Opera House Photo)

EARLVILLE – The Earlville Opera House, Black Cat Antiques & Gifts and all our Haunted House volunteers are sad to report the annual Haunted House has been cancelled this year.

Dode Page, proprietor of Black Cat Antiques & Gifts, and her husband Charlie were so excited as 2020 is the 12th year anniversary of hosting this spooky event and it was going to be billed as the most haunted house yet. We had more than a dozen people leave screaming last year. To celebrate this year, in lieu of cancellation, they’ve decorated storefront windows along the historic Earlville Opera House block, a total of eight.

It’s a haunting sight so come if you dare and see the gruesome displays day or night until October 31.  You can even vote on your favorite spooky windowsill by calling Black Cat Antiques at (315) 691-5721 and leaving your name and phone number along with the number of your favorite window (windows are numbered 1-8) and Dode will enter you into the contest.

Story Continues Below Adverts

The winners of the window that gets the most votes will be put into a drawing for a special surprise. Come view our creepy block!

If you’re interested in volunteering to participate in future Haunted Houses, give us a shout, we always love adding more scares to the fright!  From all of us here, have a safe and Happy Halloween.
