Ballot Review And Voting Locations

CHENANGO COUNTY – Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. county-wide for Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Voters in Chenango County will vote to elect candidates for state governor and lieutenant governor, state comptroller, state attorney general, United States Senator, State Supreme Court Justice of the 6th Judicial District, Representative in Congress for the 22nd District, state senator for the 51st and 52nd district, member of assembly for the 122nd and 126th district, and country treasurer.

Running for governor and lieutenant governor are Andrew M. Cuomo and Kathy C. Hochul (D), Marc Molinaro and Julie Killian (R), Howie Hawkins and Jia Lee (Green), Stephanie A. Miner and Michael J. Volpe (SAM), and Larry Sharpe and Andrew C. Hollister (Libertarian).

In the run for comptroller are Thomas P. DiNapoli (D), Jonathan Trichter (R), Mark Dunlea (Green), and Cruger E. Gallaudet (Libertarian).

Seeking election for state attorney general are Letitia James (D), Keith Wofford (R), Michael Sussman (Green), Nancy B. Sliwa (Reform), and Christopher B. Garvey (Libertarian).

For United States Senator, incumbent Kirsten E. Gillibrand (D) is being challenged by candidate Chele Chiavacci Farley (R).

Elizabeth A. Burns (D) and Joe McBride (R) are each seeking election for State Supreme Court Justice of the 6th Judicial District.

For Representative in Congress for the 22nd District, candidate Anthony Brindisi (D) is challenging incumbent Claudia Tenney (R).

Assemblyman Clifford W. Crouch (R) is seeking re-election in the 122nd District, facing challenger Nicholas R. Libous (Conservative).

Gladys C. Branagan (D) will face off against Frank T. Williams (Justice) for Plymouth Town Justice.

Candidates running unopposed include Senator Fred Akshar (R) seeking re-election in the 52nd District, William C. Craine (R) seeking re-election for Chenango County Treasurer, Darren C. McElligott (D) running for Guilford Town Justice, and Shirley R. Cook (R) running for McDonough Town Clerk.

Polling locations

Registered voters in Chenango County will vote across 22 polling locations in the county. Listed below are the polling locations for each municipality.

• Afton residents can vote at the Afton Town Hall, located at 204A County Road 39.

• Bainbridge residents can vote at the Bainbridge Historical Society Museum, located at 38 South Main Street.

• Columbus residents can vote at the Town of Columbus Courtroom, located at 4340 State Highway 80.

• Coventry residents can vote at the Coventry Town Hall, located at 1839 State Highway 235.

• German residents can vote at the German Town Hall, located at 352 County Road 5.

• Greene residents can vote at the Church of Immaculate Conception in the community room, located at 1180 State Highway 206.

• Guilford residents can vote at the Guilford Town Hall, located at 223 Marble Road.

• Lincklaen residents can vote at the Lincklaen Town Hall, located at 651 Union-Valley Lincklaen Road.

• McDonough residents can vote at the McDonough Town Hall, located at 1178 County Road 5.

• New Berlin residents can vote at Unadilla Valley Central School in the wrestling room, located at 4238 State Highway.

• North Norwich residents can vote at the North Norwich Town Hall, located at 188 County Road 23.

• Town of Norwich residents can vote at the Norwich Town Hall, located at 157 County Road 32A.

• City of Norwich residents can vote at St. Bartholomew’s Parish Center, located at 81 East Main Street.

• Otselic residents can vote at the Otselic Town Hall, located at 133 County Road 13 in South Otselic.

• Oxford residents can vote at the Oxford Firehouse, located at 20 Main Street.

• Pharsalia residents can vote at the Pharsalia Town Hall, located at 1040 County Road 8 in East Pharsalia.

• Pitcher residents can vote at the Pitcher Town Hall located at 145 Town Hall Road.

• Plymouth residents can vote at the Plymouth Fire Station, located at 3461 State Highway 23.

• Preston residents can vote at the Preston Town Hall/Highway Garage, located at 685 Tamarac Road.

• Sherburne residents can vote at the Sherburne American Legion, located at 15 South Main Street.

• Smithville residents can vote at the Genegantslet Firehouse, located at 5333 State Highway 41.

• Smyrna residents can vote at the Smyrna Town Hall, located at 3 Academy Street.
