Greene Wins Rubber Match With Unadilla Valley

GREENE – In its third meeting with UV this season – all one-run games – Greene grabbed the rubber match when Zach Lindow hustled home with the Trojans’ fifth run in the bottom of the fifth following a wild pitch.

UV led early with three runs in the second. Brendan Brooker’s RBI single scored one run, and two other runs came in on an error to make it 3-1.

Greene gave up another run in the third before mounting a rally. Kurt Bartholomew’s two-run single drew his team to within one, and Alex Kozisky tied the game with a single.

Greene hurler Alex Csigi finished the game with four shutout innings to earn the victory. He was helped by a double play in the fifth, and finished the game with a one-two-three inning in the seventh.

Kozisky had two hits to lead UV, and Brooker had two hits for UV.

Owego 13, Norwich 3

NORWICH – Owego used three big innings to pull away for the victory over Norwich Monday night.

The Indians scored four in their opening at-bat, added four more in the fifth, and tacked on five in the sixth to create a 13-run bulge.
