Preferred's United Way gift helps in flood recovery

NEW BERLIN – Preferred Mutual Insurance has gifted three local chapters of The United Way a total of $7,500 to aid in flood recovery in Chenango, Delaware and Otsego counties and in the greater Village of Sidney area.

The checks were presented to the three United Way directors during a luncheon recently in New Berlin.

According to Preferred’s corporate communications supervisor Kecia Burton, the donations were on behalf of the insurance company’s employees who wanted to provide relief after processing so many damage claims.

“We want to hear from you about more ways that we can help,” said Vice President of Human Resources Karlee Myers.
