NORWICH - Families come in all shapes and sizes. Some are formed by birth, others by love and open hearts.
On Friday November 28, The Children’s Home and The Colonia Theatre invite those interested in learning more about Foster Care within our community to a special movie matinee featuring Instant Family, the heartfelt comedy-drama starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne.
The event aims to celebrate the beauty of foster care and adoption while inspiring others to consider opening their homes and hearts to children in need.
Instant Family tells the story of a couple whose decision to foster three siblings changes their lives forever, bringing laughter, challenges, and ultimately, an unbreakable bond. With warmth and humor, the film captures both the joys and real-life struggles that come with building a family through foster care.
This special screening isn’t just about watching a movie, it’s about creating conversations and connections. Local foster care Home Finder, Meryl Juster, will be on hand to share information, answer questions, and guide those who may be curious about becoming
foster or adoptive parents. Whether you’ve been thinking about fostering for years or are simply interested in learning more, this evening offers a welcoming and supportive environment to explore that next step.
The Colonia Theatre is located on South Broad Street in Norwich.
The event begins at 3 p.m. on Friday, November 28, admission is free, while tickets last. One popcorn and drink per attendee at arrival provided by The Children’s Home. Other food and drink will be available for purchase.
