NORWICH — Join the Chenango Arts Council on Saturday, June 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. for a Paint and Sip event where instructor Stephanie Hannan will teach participants the basics of oil painting and lead them through a recreation of Van Gogh's "Sunflowers."

"It’s kind of an intro class. It’s suitable for beginners," said Chenango Arts Council Administrative Assistant Mary Beth Miller. "If you’ve never done it before, this is a really good class to get started with."

Thanks to a grant from the Roger Follett Foundation, the Arts Council was able to lower their workshop price to $20 for members and $25 for non-members for this event. Golden Artist Colors have donated all the oil paint, and the rest of the supplies will be provided by the Chenango Arts Council. Wine and refreshments will be provided as well.

"Golden Artist is donating the oil paints and the Roger Follett Foundation was kind enough to provide a grant to help us pay for instructor fees and some supply fees to offer a lower price for our workshops," said Miller.
