OWEGO— It had been over a week since the Norwich Purple Tornado golf team had a match when they traveled to take on Owego on Thursday. Norwich just pulled out a 228-234 win on the road to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Brevin Bennett led all golfers with a 36 on the par 37 course (-1). Matthew Brunick followed with a 45 as Charlie Smith shot a 46.

Payne Skillin had a 50 and Jacob Lobdell with a 51 while Kinnon Bennett finished as the team’s sixth golfer.

Norwich (3-0) hosts Chenango Forks this afternoon at 4 p.m.
