SHERBURNE — The Sherburne-Earlville Central School District is proud to recognize Grace Todd-Rogers as valedictorian and Anna Fern as salutatorian of Sherburne-Earlville High School’s Class of 2023, which will graduate together at 10 a.m. on June 24 during an in-person ceremony at Marauder Stadium.

Valedictorian Grace Todd-Rogers

SEHS Valedictorian Grace Todd-Rogers is an intelligent, hard-working student who is capable of achieving any goal she sets. Destined for success, the top-ranked academic senior in our Class of 2023 is an outstanding student who is dedicated to learning. Grace is a quiet but effective leader among her peers and is not afraid to stick up for what she believes in, even if it means going against the crowd.

A leader by example, Grace is non-judgmental, unassuming, and tolerant of others’ differences. These qualities helped her earn selection to attend the Teen Institute as a freshman and the Rotary Youth Leadership Conference as a junior, where she further developed her leadership skills. Grace also loves the outdoors, is passionate about the environment, and volunteers to teach students ages five to 10 at her dance studio. In her spare time, she can be found hiking, kayaking, or dancing.

Grace is the daughter of Kathleen Todd and Justin Rogers of Earlville. She is intent on pursuing a post-secondary education in the field of Sustainable Design. Eager to take the next step in her educational journey, Grace surely will be a welcome addition to any college lucky enough to enroll her.

SEHS Salutatorian Anna Fern has worked hard throughout high school to earn the No. 2 academic ranking in our Class of 2023. In addition to being a great student in the classroom, she is also involved in a variety of school-related and outside extracurricular activities.

Our Class of 2023 treasurer proudly represents Sherburne-Earlville as a member of National Honor Society, Ski Club, and Varsity Girls Soccer. She also takes dance lessons, participates in the community soccer program, works at a nearby pharmacy, and volunteers as a youth dance instructor at her studio.

Anna has always known she would like to pursue a career in the Allied Health field and has independently taken the necessary steps to explore her options. She currently participates in the New Vision Allied Health Program, spending half of her day at Chenango Memorial Hospital for valuable, hands-on experience in all areas of the health field. At the same time, she earns college credits through nearby Morrisville State College.

Anna is the daughter of Carrie Fern and John Fern, both of Sherburne. She plans to study Nursing at Keuka College in the fall.
