MORAVIA – After a close win over Walton, the Greene Trojans boys basketball team faced another tough competitor, Moravia.

Moravia, proving their strength from the Interscholastic league, defeated Greene 80-51 in the second round of the Class C Tournament. Greene, who had a difficult schedule to end the season, managed to finish strong at 15-7 overall, second place in the MAC division.

Moravia stood tall throughout the contest with a dynamic 52 points scored in the first half. That performance alone settled them with the lead all the way through, making it difficult for Greene to answer back.

Greene played a better second half, outscoring Moravia 34-28 to close out the second half. But being limited in the first half hurt their chances overall. Second half efforts were made by Jaden Eroshevich with 20 points, including knocking down three three-pointers. Joel Vielandi drilled two three’s to finish with 10 points while Aiden Pickard’s eight points were scored in the first half.

Good luck to seniors Aiden Pickard, Liam Flanagan, Grayson Flanagan, and Michael Swift.
