NEW BERLIN – Before the homecoming festivities began, the UV/GMU boys soccer team scored a late goal in the second half to defeat Greene 3-2.

During the game, the Storm wore their pink Breast Cancer Awareness shirts. Some players had the names of family members on the back while others had just their last name.

Both teams fought hard all game from start to finish. Trason Murray made sure UV/GMU got on the board just before halftime. He scored with a minute and a half remaining when goalie Tony Sergi was pressured and knocked down away from the net and Murray sent a shot in.

Haywood Edwards kept the momentum going for the Storm as he scored on a pass from Trevor Smith to begin the second half.

Greene answered back as Shane Rideout scored on a pass from Jonah Browning. Greene was not finished as Trevor Ketcham found room to tie the game at two a piece.

Both teams continued to battle it out in what almost could’ve gone into overtime. But, Murray made sure that didn’t happen as he scored the game-winner from Owen Hill with three minutes remaining.
