Commerce Chenango celebrates National Small Business Week

NORWICH – Commerce Chenango will join the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in celebration of National Small Business week from May 1 to 7.

“National Small Business Week is a time to honor and celebrate America’s entrepreneurs and innovative startups.

This year’s theme, ‘Building a Better America through Entrepreneurship,’ celebrates the resiliency and tenacity of America’s entrepreneurs who are doing their part to power our nation’s historic economic comeback,” said SBA Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman.

Commerce Chenango supports hundreds of local small businesses throughout Chenango County by providing access to training and educational programs, business planning and financing, local, regional, and national demographic trends, and labor and workforce statistics.

As a tradition spanning over 50 years,  National Small Business Week  gives you the opportunity to celebrate small businesses and the contributions that they make to local communities and the national economy.

Normally defined using employee numbers, small business guidelines for the different categories of business enterprises could include agricultural production, communications, manufacturing, retail, service, transportation and warehousing, and wholesale.
