UV schools recognized for efforts to honor veterans The event is supported by many in the community. NEW BERLIN – The New York State School Boards Association selected the Unadilla Valley Central School District as a recipient of the Champions of Change Award for its Students Honoring Veterans Program.

According to representatives from the New York State School Boards Association, the Champion for Change Award is presented annually to a current school board member, who, in the judgment of the NYSSBA Awards Committee, should be recognized for innovative and ethical leadership that brought about ground-breaking improvements in school district programs and operations.
