NORWICH – A man admitted to getting high, breaking into a home, and threatening a victim with a knife in Chenango County Court earlier this week.

Christopher Bono pleaded guilty to first-degree burglary, a class B felony, after telling the court that on January 9, 2020 within the Town of Plymouth, he entered a dwelling with an intent to commit a crime inside.

When asked about the incident in court, Bono said he was riding as a passenger in his significant other’s car at the time of the incident when they noticed that a victim’s door was open.

“To be honest I was under the influence, and the exact details escape me,” said Bono. “It was some kind of silver and black knife.”
